Proposed Map
The
Changes to the Zoning Ordinance are designed to promote development in
the Growth Area close to Town services and to help reduce sprawl. It
allows the Planning Board more latitude when reviewing Subdivisions and
small developments, and should greatly reduce the need for Zone changes
in the future.
These changes pertain to the combining of the Commercial, Highway
Commercial, and Multi-Family Residential Districts to the new Low Mixed
Use District, and the re-naming of the Low Density Residential, Highway
Industrial District to High Mixed Use District.
These areas are essentially mixed use now, the new Ordinance will allow
these to continue, however they must meet the requirements to co-exist
(Blend) with the neighborhood.
